Contest Rules

1. This contest is open only to residents of Texas who are age eighteen (18) years or over and who are musicians. For the purpose of this contest, a musician is a vocalist who performs either solo or in a group or a group of instrumentalists and vocalists who perform together as a band. Proof of age and residency must be produced upon request. Employees of Los Senderos Studio (the Studio) and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this contest.


2. To enter this contest, a contestant must fill out an entry form. The entry form is available only on the internet at the contest page. No other form of entry will be accepted. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest.


3. Entry must be made by the entrant only. Entries made by any other individual or any entity, and/or originating at any other web site or e-mail address, including but not limited to commercial sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this contest. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited.


4. Only one (1) entry per artist/group is allowed. Duplicate entries will be deleted. In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an entry cannot be resolved to the Studio’s satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible.


5. Contest ends at midnight on September 30, 2008. All entries must be received by the contest deadline in order to be eligible. The Website’s database clock will be the official time keeper for entries in this contest.


6. Winners will be chosen based on originality of the entry and other criteria. Decisions of the contest judges are final.


7. The prize is not redeemable in cash and is not transferable. No substitutions will be permitted. If a chosen winner cannot accept the prize, the judges reserve the right to choose an alternate winner. The Studio plans to award prizes to four (4) artists or groups, but the number of prizes is subject to increase or decrease without notice based on the number of entries received, at the sole discretion of the judges.


8. Winners will be required to sign a no-charge contract for the studio time awarded. If additional studio time is desired by a winner, it will be charged at the current rate then in effect, and will require a separate contract.


9. By accepting a prize, each winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation, of his or her name, group name, photograph, likeness, voice, and city of residence for promotion and advertising purposes in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications, and on the internet) which the Studio may deem appropriate.


10. By accepting a prize, the winner, and any guest(s), acknowledges that the Studio may not be held liable for any loss, damages, or injury associated with accepting or using the prize.


11. By entering this contest, each entrant acknowledges his/her/their acceptance and understanding of these contest rules. Entries that are incomplete, lost, late, misdirected, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility with the web site or elsewhere, will not be eligible. The Studio, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site, or otherwise in violation of the rules. By entering this contest, each entrant acknowleges that his/her/their email address may be used for future marketing purposes.


12. The prize consists of two (2) days of studio recording time in the Los Senderos Studio, consisting of eight (8) hours of studio time per day including set-up time, break-down time, and breaks (if any). Scheduling of studio time will be on an as-available basis and the Studio will work to set a schedule that is mutually acceptable for both the artist/group and the Studio. However, if an acceptable schedule cannot be worked out, the artist/group will forfeit the prize. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Studio shall release copies of the recording media to the winner or the winner's representative at the end of the two-day session or as soon as practical thereafter. The recorded media will become the property of the winner, but the Studio reserves the right to use copies of the media or portions thereof for promotional purposes. The Studio will not release the recordings for distribution without the written agreement of the winner. Travel to and from the Studio will the responsibility of the winner.


13. Winners will be notified within 30 days following the close of the contest via email at the email address supplied in the entry form. Entrants are responsible for notifying the Studio of any changes in email address that occur after completing the entry form. The Studio will not be responsible for any incorrect email addresses or misdirected email.


14. Notified winners must reply via email or telephone within thirty (30) days of notification. Failure to respond shall mean that the winner forfeits the prize. The Studio is not required to award any unclaimed or forfeited prizes.


15. This contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes and/or fees that may be incurred.


16. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.


17. ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION, AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS.


18. Los Senderos Studio reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest at any time without prior notice. The Studio reserves the right to alter any rule(s) of this contest at any time. If you have any questions or complaints about this contest, please email the Studio. (See contact page.)
